Scientific expert in Human Genetics

Aïcha has 10 years' expertise in medical genetics, pre- and post-natal constitutional Cytogenetics (karyotyping, FISH and chromosomal microarray analysis), NGS Molecular Biology (whole exome sequencing) and next-generation Cytogenetics (optical genome mapping).


Aïcha joined the Cerba laboratory in 2017. Prior to this, she practiced Histology, Embryology and Cytogenetics at Robert Debré and Necker hospitals. In Algeria, Aïcha worked as a University Hospital Lecturer in the medical genetics laboratory at the Pierre et Marie Curie Center, and as a lecturer in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Algiers. During her National Service, she was in charge of the central clinical biology laboratory in Reghaïa.


Aïcha holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy, a DES specialized studies diploma in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics, a Master in Biology, a DFMSA advanced specialized medical training diploma in Medical Cytogenetics, a DIU inter-university post-graduate diploma in Precision Diagnostics and Personalized Medicine, and a DIU inter-university post-graduate diploma in Dysmorphology, Developmental Anomalies and Polymalformative Syndromes.
