A culture of
innovation and excellence

Since its inception, Cerba has fostered a culture of innovation and excellence, always prioritizing medical utility for patients, recognized and scientifically validated. Cerba is particularly focused on innovating in areas that are still underdeveloped, ensuring that every patient, regardless of their illness, can benefit from medical biology to improve their care

Partner of choice for creating the medicine of tomorrow

Cerba is connected to all the players who today drive the dynamism of medical innovation: academics, hospital medical teams, in vitro diagnostics companies, start-ups, pharmaceutical industries... Its expertise in medical biology and its capacity for human and technical innovation make it a partner of choice for creating the medicine of tomorrow.

Focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

Cerba Laboratory was one of the first in Europe to introduce this technology into routine care. In 2013, Cerba developed the first screening test for trisomies 13, 18, and 21 by sequencing circulating fetal DNA, followed in 2015 by the first NGS diagnostic test for the CFTR gene, marking a decisive breakthrough in cystic fibrosis diagnosis.

Today, Cerba is extending NGS to numerous clinical applications and reaffirms its pioneering status with the acquisition of two Aviti sequencers: the new high-throughput sequencing technology from Element Biosciences, offering even more reliable and rapid results.

Empowering innovation in medical biology through training

Medical innovation is integrated with a range of medical training courses and an ever-evolving range of services and tools

Objective: to train and support healthcare professionals on a day-to-day basis so that medical biology is at the heart of the healthcare pathway and supports developments in healthcare.

A collaborative and strategic innovation

The laboratory's expert biologists and technicians decide on innovation projects on a collegiate basis, meeting regularly to discuss the latest scientific, medical and technological advances in France, Europe and worlwide. As a founding member of Cerba HealthCare, Cerba also participates in the Group's strong innovation drive (internal team dedicated to innovation, virtual incubator, member of French Care, etc.)
