Cerba, a public health player

Medical biology data has always enabled great advances in terms of diagnosis, treatment and the fight against epidemics. This is all the more true in recent decades, particularly with the advent of new technologies from which medical biology takes full advantage

background

A key partner for institutional and academic projects

Because of the nature of its work, Cerba collects a large volume of biological data, with a very wide recruitment base. This data has a real interest in terms of public health. Cerba works actively with institutional and academic partners to support their public health missions. In particular, it is involved in the 3 Labs project to monitor epidemic and emerging infectious diseases, in partnership with Santé Publique France, and in the RELAB system for monitoring the main respiratory viruses (a network run by the Institut Pasteur and the Hospices Civils de Lyon).

The RELAB project: monitoring of respiratory infections

Cerba is participating in the RELAB project, in collaboration with the Hospices Civils de Lyon and the Pasteur Institute, to structure a national network of private laboratories.
This system aims to improve the monitoring of viral respiratory infections (SARS-CoV-2, influenza, RSV) through the reporting of pseudonymised information and the analysis of circulating variants.
This public interest project supports the adaptation of recommendations for care and prevention.

Parvovirus B19 infection: exploration of serological and molecular markers

This multicenter study (January 2023 - June 2024) aims to clarify the kinetics of serological and virological markers of Parvovirus B19 infection using modern molecular biology and serology tools. It also analyzes the genomic profiles of the strains circulating in France over the period, in order to provide practical data for clinical and biological interpretation.

Our data protection policy

The activity related to clinical research projects is strictly regulated from a regulatory point of view, particularly with regard to data protection. In accordance with strict compliance with medical confidentiality, we guarantee to all our patients that no directly identifying data will be communicated as part of these research projects.

If you are a patient whose test has been handled by the Cerba laboratory and you do not want your data, even non-identifying data, to be reused as part of research projects or epidemiological surveillance, you can express your opposition to the research by email to rgpd.cerba@lab-cerba.com or by post to CERBA – RPD, Zac des Epineaux, 10 Avenue Rolland Moreno, 95740 FREPILLON. We guarantee that in this case, and in accordance with the regulations in force, your individual data will not be used or communicated to those responsible for the research.
