Additional information

Comments

A separate tube is required for this test.

You must provide :

- The last viral load result (< 1 month, otherwise carried out and billed additionally)

- Treatments taken (an FPM is available)

Minimum viral load required: 100 copies/mL

NB:

HIV RNA resistance genotyping on plasma is recommended at the time of initial diagnosis and in the event of a detectable viral load under treatment, to detect any acquired resistance mutations.

Proviral DNA resistance genotyping is not indicated for detecting treatment-acquired resistance. It only effectively detects mutations that may have existed prior to treatment. It is therefore indicated before a therapeutic change to a new class if no previous genotype is available for the treatments under consideration and the viral load is low or undetectable.
