Medical Biologist (Genetics)
Jean-Marc has expertise in pre- and post-natal constitutional Molecular Genetics, NGS diagnosis of rare diseases (Exomes and Gene Panels), and Oncogenetics.
He has actively contributed to the development of circulating fetal DNA analysis, and is involved in the design and development of the NGS platform specialized in exome and gene panel analysis (including genetic testing for hereditary predisposition to cancer). More recently, he introduced an innovative high-throughput avidity sequencing technology to the laboratory.
He joined the Cerba laboratory in 2007 after working as Deputy Director of the Prenatal Diagnostic Center at the American Hospital Laboratory in Paris. He also worked as an assistant in the Fetal Biology and Molecular Biology laboratories at the Childcare Institute (Institut de Puériculture) in Paris. He is a member of numerous learned societies such as the Inserm Experts, the ACLF and the ESHG, and has regularly communicated at scientific congresses and conferences.
Jean-Marc holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy, a DEA post-graduate diploma in Biological and Medical Engineering with a biomaterials option, a DES specialized studies diploma in Clinical Pathology, a C2 Certificate in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a DIU post-graduate diploma in Hereditary Cardiac Diseases.
