Cytogeneticist physician in human genetics
Jean-Pierre Siffroi is a physician specializing in medical genetics, with a particular focus on chromosomal genetics. He has spent his entire career at the University and within the hospitals of the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (APHP), where he notably led the Medical Genetics department at Armand Trousseau Hospital. His research has focused on genetic anomalies in fertility disorders, both female and male, as well as on variations in sexual development observed in some children at birth, as well as in certain adolescents and adults.
Shortly after his retirement from the hospital-university system, Jean-Pierre Siffroi had the opportunity to join Cerba in December 2023 as part of the constitutional cytogenetics team. He brings over forty years of experience in human cytogenetics, both postnatal and prenatal, particularly in the analysis of standard karyotypes and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), for which the number of tests to be processed remains significant.
