Medical Biologist (Specialized Biochemistry and Genetics)

 

Simon joined Cerba's Specialized Biochemistry cluster in 2018. He completed his qualification with a DIU (inter-university diploma) in Inborn Errors of Metabolism and acquired accreditation in Fetal Biochemistry. 
Building on his multiple skills and passion for innovation, he leads the Biochemical and Genetic Diagnostics of Metabolic Disorders and Pharmacogenetics Sectors at the Cerba laboratory.
Simon holds a Diploma in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a DES specialized studies diploma in Clinical Pathology.
With a wealth of experience in Molecular Biology acquired during his European Master in Genetics and his Doctorate on the Fundamental Mechanisms in Oncogenesis (Paris VII university), he worked for over 5 years as an Assistant Specialist in the Genetics Department at Robert Debré Hospital.
As a referent for the diagnosis of white matter anomalies, he has developed NGS tools for the LeukoFrance National Reference Centre.
