Sampling: 1 fluoride tube AND 1 EDTA tube, centrifuged and frozen within 12 hours of sampling.
This test consists of two combined glucose and total insulin determinations on a sample taken strictly on an empty stomach.
Do not prescribe total insulin at the same time, otherwise the assay will be performed and billed twice.
